Looks small as opposed to the American car in front of it. It may be an early BMW with that grille and the quad headlights. |

I am quite sure it is a '63 Mercury Comet. The fact that an US compact car of the era looks smaller than a full-size is quite obvious...! |

On the strength of that, will list as '63 Comet pending dissent. Looks like a Comet to me, too. |

The more I look at it, the more it looks like a '63 Comet. The hood crease, fender top ornaments, windshield and bumper shape, the fact the side trim passes just below the door handles and from what I can see of the grille all says '63 Comet to me. |

The grille and the fender trim say it's a 1961 Comet, the grille on the '63 has trim that curves around the sides of the fenders. Also, the '63 has lower body side trim in addition to the upper side trim. -KK (owner of a 1960 Comet) |
