This is way newer than 1984, because it has plastic bumpers. Heck, it could even be newer than 1987 because I recently noticed that the plastic bumper can be found in a 1987 commercial and brochure, but not on Google Search (show only after 1988+ model). So I'm not sure if it was actually optional for 1987 model years, or if that was just an early advertisement for the brand new 1988 model year. If anybody can possibly explain that, I would really appreciate that because it's really bugging me. |

^^ I cannot answer your question. Sorry. I do believe this might be newer than 1984 but I am not an expert on the 1st gens. I only ever studied the 3rd and 4th gens. |
