If it is an Avensis it will be a British car as that is built in Derbyshire... EDIT: Though the British police don't (or at least very rarely) use Avensises... Instead it is BMW, Audi or foreign built Fords and Vauxhalls with the odd maybe built in UK Vauxhall Astra. Though on the other hand from that we don't really build many suitable cars. It's not like the police can use Morgans or Caterhams. -- Last edit: 2011-02-20 19:58:39 |

They aren't many genuinely British cars around nowadays. Vauxhall is owned by GM, Ford is based in Europe, Rover has gone bust... The only 100% British cars (designed and built in the UK and not owned by a foreign company) are very small manufacturers (mostly sports car makers) like Morgan, Bristol and Ginetta. Even Lotus is now owned by Proton. So many British car companies had to be sold to survive. By the way "anachronism" means something that's wrong for a particular time period. If this film is set in present day, than nothing here is anachronistic. -- Last edit: 2011-06-08 17:38:15 |
