Jerry80 ◊ 2012-01-22 14:40	Some elements of this concept cab was used in 1985, like short doors, bigger step, three wipers. But interior was still almost unchanged. This interior along with steering wheel was used only in Star 1142 in 1986. Many of ideas from this concept was never used. 1142 was the last real polish Star, and was manufactured until 1999. It`s long gone now.
Weasel1984 ◊ 2012-01-22 18:44	Yes it's true, as I see now the mid-80s prototype had the same grills, but cabin with higher roof. This ep. of "Sonda" is from 1979.
Weasel1984 ◊ 2013-04-15 17:47	The latest "Ciężarówki i autobusy" (4/88) has article about the Star 200 successors develompent and even this episode of the "Sonda" is mentioned there. The cabine originally belonged to the late 1975 prototype of the new truck called at this stage "Star 12,5 t". However this project was cancelled soon, as in the second half of the 70s there were plans to start more serious co-operation with Steyr or Saviem (and use their cabs for some unclear reasons). Finally some ideas of this project were indeed re-used in the 1980s Star 1142. -- Last edit: 2013-04-15 17:50:05
