This is actually a 1998-2002 Mercury Grand Marquis. In Mexico, where this movie was partially filmed, Mercuries are sold with the Ford Oval logo on them, hence the Ford logo on the trunk of this car. |

Currently there is no Grand Marquis on www.lincoln.com.mx A Grand Marquis with a Ford logo is just a Crown Victoria, no? ![]() |

I've always found this strange, I've seen these cars when I've went to Mexico. They have the Mercury grill up front, but the ford logo in the back. They're just like the Grand Marquises here in the United States, with the exception of the Ford logo, and are labeled as Grand Marquises. I'm very confused on how to label this one. |

Strange, it is not on www.ford.com.mx either ![]() Should we label it "Ford Grand Marquis" then? -- Last edit: 2007-04-08 23:37:45 |

On a recent trip, I saw what was at least a 2003 Grand Marquis, but I don't know if they stopped selling it, I know that they've only stopped selling the Crown Victoria in Canada, at least to the general public. I was thinking that perhaps it should be labeled the same way you say, but to avoid confusion, I suggest just labeling as a Mercury Grand Marquis, and if anybody has any questions about it, they can just read our comments for explanation. ![]() |

If it was sold as Ford we should list it as Ford. The comments are there to explain the name ![]() Same for the Dodge labeled as Chrysler for Europe: Chrysler Viper or Chrysler Neon. -- Last edit: 2007-04-08 23:55:42 |

Understood, should be a first for the site. |
