 License plate appears to have the '2S' prefix that was issued in 1990. Also appears to have the LS trim badge next to the V6 badge.

 I found archive news footage of it which shows the plate more clearly as 2SAX806 which returns as a 1990 model on both bar.ca.gov and Carfax, where the latter confirms it as an LS model.
