The cab shown was fitted to three makes of truck, Leyland, Albion and Dodge, and was known as the LAD cab at the manufacturers. There were minor variations, the Dodge having chequered grilles inside the openings. Because of the blurring and the minor disguise in the picture it is not possible to say Leyland or Albion. |

Looks like an Albion Clydesdale , could also be a Leyland Beaver , but Leyland had prominent name badge and the Clydesdale very popular as skip truck and tipper, forward set cab and long doors rule out Dodge . LAD (Leyland Albion Dodge) cab variants:- Albions- all had long doors , forward set cab. Dodges- all had short doors centred over wheels. Leyland ;- Comet had short doors Beaver and Octopus (8 wheeler) had long doors. I think -- Last edit: 2011-03-14 14:30:08 |
