That is NOT a 1975 Gran Fury. It is either a '76 or '77. While the two-headlight front fascia was available in 1975 on the Gran Fury Brougham, it was NOT available on the police-package Gran Fury Pursuit, which is shown here. That particular headlight arrangement with intergral inboard vertical turn signals did not become available on Gran Fury Pursuits until the 1976 model year. As NYPD specs ONLY police-package cars, then this is a '76 or '77. -- Last edit: 2012-03-05 01:32:48 |

It's a movie.. maybe this car is just a regular Gran Fury painted as a prop vehicle. This car is actually used in Cannibal Ferox and the words police are missing on the fenders. Except if you know the guy who rented the props back in 1981, who can tell if it was a real NYPD car..!! |

In Cannibal Ferox, the Police is only missing on one side, the side not shown in this picture. It can be seen in one of the thumbnails on that page. |

It's the same grill in 76 and 77. The three horizontal bars are in a different plane then the vertical bars making it appear different in some light. |
