I think it's a Bristol VR Series. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_VR |

The main picture is a VR, but there's more than one bus shown here, the thumbnail vehicles aren't the same. |

Is it the episode for which they had a bus shipped to Dubai desert? Bus which was damaged, so they had to rewrite some scenes. According to this article, they used two buses, and indeed the one shipped to Dubai was a Bristol VR, but they do not clearly say about the one used in UK. |

This bus is a 1981 Bristol VR with Eastern Coachworks (ECW) bodywork. After being transported to Dubai, where the desert scenes were set, the bus was damaged in the shipping yard, so the plot was slightly tweaked to involve the bus colliding with a spacecraft whilst travelling through the wormhole, explaining the damage. The bus was shown in the livery of 'City Roam', a fictional company. -- Last edit: 2013-01-22 23:56:49 |

Both buses used were bought by a preservationist, the damaged one to provide parts for the other. |

Great bus! And it's awesome that it even appears in a Doctor Who episode! |
