Every single Italian lorry has (had?) that kind of diagonal bar painted to the front and the back. Check out all the other pics of trucks in Italy, you will always find them in one form or another. Nobody ever was able to explain to me what they are good for or why they do it. It must be some kind of regulation and I would be keen to know what the origin/reason for it is. |

The diagonal bar is a distinctive sign for the transport regulation applicable to the truck. The red diagonal is for private transport and the white diagonal is for public transport where you need licence regulations and so on... The truck could be a TRIGOTTO OM. |
