Are my eyes distorted or does it have a wrong left fender? The front lamp is lower. Perhaps a semi-perfect restoration. As the bumper, too. The chrome is too matt for the original. So the owner took a junky repro-part (the in the VW-scene well-known substandard Brazilian stuff). Due the unoriginal shape it's rather such a repro-thing than an original bumper, which was overpainted silvermetallic.

P.S. colour "sumatragreen"

Well, ingo, what do you expect on 25 year old car at the time of filming :/

A high age of a car is no justification for cobblework! :o
How stupid the owner or restorator must be :/ Such fiddling makes/keeps the car worthless (in the eyes of a conoisseur), so all the work and the new paintwork was use- and helpless waste of money, material and time.

Otherwise it's a good evidence for a potential buyer with knowledge: any vehicle, where you notice such idiotic cobblework, you can categorize immediately as junk. A wreck, only good for spare parts. Or to exhaust it for bad weather, for saving the good car, and then for wrecking it.

For sure it's not nice for the seller, when he thinks, he hs a valuable precious item, but then the interested taker starts to beat the facts around his head. But so what? Sometimes will always come the time for discovering the reality :o

Not as high, as you suggest.

Or correct term for stupidness measure is "low"?

Sorry Nightrider, how do you call it, when this clown takes conciously a wrong fender, so that everyone can see it? What else than stupid? :o
Except that and the Brazilian junk-repro-bumper it seems a bit, that the car has the black/white rims of the 1968/69 1300/1500 - which have nothing to do on a 1303...

I agree on "stupid", but I don't think, that it requires very high level of stupidness. Because I can see such kind of "restoration" and "tuning" every day. (

BTW, I really like that you use "clown" to describe that.
