I suppose that it is the same as the one seen since episode 1.02, only with that view until now:

owlman wrote I don't think that would have a third brake light...

The wheels are Mitsubishi - Link to "www.productioncars.com"

Galants that old have got to be pretty rare. I don't recall having seen one recently.

Actually, I'm not even sure they were called Galant. Wikipedia indicates the proper US-market name was Mitsubishi Sigma.

"Galant" was used for the 4 cylinder version from 1985 forward. "Galant Sigma" was adopted for the V6 powered version introduced for the 1988 model year ~ which fits with these alloys, and accounts for the CHMSL as well. the "Galant" was dropped from the name of the 6 cylinder version for the 1989 model year, and just "Sigma" was used after that. pretty unusual for sure. my mother considered buying one when they were new, but went with an entirely different choice before breaking out the check book.

Why did they refer to it as a 1979? I think even most people who aren't car enthusiasts realize that Mitsubishis weren't sold here under the Mitsubishi name as far back as '79... Not to mention that it looks far to new (although I will admit that it looks somewhat primitive for a 1988 car)... Either way, nice find!; These were quite rare here even when new.
