Wouldn´t it be better to insert a "Motorhome" between the "GMC" and the "Palm Beach"? I think that would be more exact. |

Yes, it certainly seems that would be most appropriate. Interesting that a brand would somehow 'naturally' need to usurp a generic term in place of a model name. Actually, in this case, it would be a 'super'-model name since the models were Palm Beach, Eleganza, Painted Desert, Royale, Glacier, etc. It WOULDN'T seem fitting to just refer to them as a "GMC Palm Beach", though anyone familiar with them would understand the concept completely. To the uninitiated, you couldn't say that 'cause they'd be thinking of a new CAR or TRUCK model, never a motorhome. So, GMC Motorhome to describe the group, and GMC Palm Beach Motorhome (capitalized, not lower-case) for the complete model. It would sound simply weird to say "GMC Motorhome Palm Beach". Sounds like a Craig's List ad. |

This one was on the market last year. It's been repainted solid white at some point. http://www.gmcclassics.com/chatter/sold.html - partway down the page. |
