Those dealer "stickers" are tacky and I'm glad it's not a common practice here in California. |

I know what you mean... both of the two new cars I've had had those stickers... I hate it. Although some dealers give you license plates which is better because they're easier to take off. |

I've heard a good advice: tell to dealer, that as car is your property, dealership must pay to you for placing advertisement on your property... |

I have never bought a car, new or used, from a dealership with the decal on it. That is not to say that it is not common practice here but when I go to the dealer to buy a car I give them an option of taking their decal off of the car or they can pay me an "advertising fee" for advertising their dealership. Most have no issue with removing the decals but the few that said they wouldn't take them off changed their mind quickly when I told them I would buy the car elsewhere .gif ";)") The license plates and plate frames I don't mind so much as they can be removed easier (and I remove them right away) Although when I bought my wifes Liberty new I was pissed because I bought it in NC and since NC has no front plate the dealership drilled holes in the front bumper just to mount their license plate  |

CarMax's "tacky sticker" is quite small. I wouldn't take the time to remove it. |

funny you should say that jettalover, I purchased my Liberty from Carmax and had the decal and plate frames removed when they did the final detail on it before I took it. |
