May be 1961+ Standard (India) Gazel. |

As far as I can tell 1971+ Gazel was only 4 door. Previous Standard Herald used normal 2 door body (1961+ for Mk1, 1966+ for Mk2 with Vitesse-based bonnet). 1968+ Mk3 had 4 door body. If online pictures are reliable (eg http://www.aronline.co.uk/index.htm?standardindexf.htm , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_(Indian_automobile) ) the painted bumpers suggest 1961+ Standard Herald Mk1 is the closest to this. There's a huge forum post with loads of pictures at Link to "www.team-bhp.com" - currently 85 pages of these ... um ... beauties. -- Last edit: 2011-05-07 11:53:28 |

Standard Herald definitely (NOT Gazel), 948cc CKD-assembled Triumph Herald. And yes, definitely 1961 onwards, 1961-65. -- Last edit: 2011-06-12 12:13:05 |
