eLMeR ◊ 2015-02-05 20:17	In the main screenshot: the smallest wheelbase (114"/2.90 m) of the 1955-59 GMC Blue Chip truck line + the V8 fender emblem make it a 100-8 model (101-8 in GMC codes). Apparently no 1957 "spears" nor 1958-59 "valley" on the hood, so a 1955-56 model. In stronghold's thumb #1, confirmation of the 1955-56 hood plus obvious lack of the "grille extension panel": a 1956 only model. ⇒ 1956 GMC Blue Chip 100-8 [101-8]

eLMeR ◊ 2015-02-06 17:55	It is connected to the others when clicking on the "100" part of the name. But not on the 101-8 link of the "chassis code" indeed. It was sold that way. But in fact only the 100 part of this name was visible on the grille: (1955 and 1957 models, but informations worth for all the Task-Force era) With 100 only in the name, but with V8 as complement, then? It could be seen as a kind of trim, as it was worth a special emblem at that time.
