1962 / 1965 Bentley S3 Standard Saloon, actually. For those in doubt, the motorwaypic clearly shows the winged B from behind. |

The registration number may be 1CPO or 1OPO - it's very difficult to see. It is definitely a Bentley though; both in long shot and close up. The car does appear a little later on too, but never with the registration number in any way visible. It's possible that this Bentley belonged to Director Peter Yates, as his Rolls Royce Phantom makes a cameo appearance in his next movie, Bullitt. |

this was stanley bakers own car , i was lucky to sit in this car around 40 odd years ago, an antique dealer in barnet london had it, its such a long time ago now but im sure it had the number plate sb1 or something sb as the two first letters. there was a story about him driving a man on the run in the boot and lending it to mad frankie fraser .. |
