In which city in China was this filmed? EDIT: Set in Dalian, I will safely assume it was filmed on location. -- Last edit: 2016-05-27 19:46:42 |

Dalian? It's the smuggler's nest for Northkorea. Surely on the docks there a plenty of very interesting vehicles and other stuff to discover. But it may be unhealthy to make a photo-documentation about it |

@ingo: Here's an article about the North Korean-born sons of defector James Dresnok: Link to "www.washingtonpost.com" And here's a clip from a film they both appear in, playing Yankee imperialist bastards. I think you'll recognise the location. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idPCHqiDXGs We've already met the truck: /vehicle.php?id=476449 |

Thanks, very interesting The linked article is also very interesting: Link to "www.washingtonpost.com" Annother new article about this fascinating country: Link to "www.washingtonpost.com" She confirms, what my japanese friend Hiroshi got told from a friend, who was Baby Kim's room mate in the Swiss boaring school. btw.: as mentioned in the forum, I've met last weekend in Beaulieu the very intersting guy Sam Glover, one of the writers of "Practical Classics" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0s9UU6O9vk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1Srn-6dfG8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vH52D61WLU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrvna4Qkz4M and we've found out, that not only about cars we are "brothers in spirit" (he did, about what I'm just thinking - purchasing an AWS Shopper: Link to "www.pressreader.com" He is also very interested in Northkorea and had been there, too, just some months before me. As we still had missed to do some specific experiences over there, we already have started to plan annother DPRK-trip preferably for car nerds. Planespotters had already been there Link to "planepics.org" also train- and even tram-fetishists. And I would not like it, to be in a group with trainspotters. The most of them are very strange nerds and not easy with social intercourse, much worse than us car freaks. One of the most important topics for us will be a ride in one of the legendary 1.000 1974 Volvo 144. And Sam wants to find out, why all of these had shoveled fronts I've noticed that, too, but thought, it was the result of worn out and unoriginal replaced front suspensions, but Sam said, that all 144, he spotted there, had this lowered front. @dsl: Sam is not a Rootes-crap connaisseur, but very interested in Eastern Block-cars. So I hope, his support may help to find out more of the Minxes, exported to the DDR in the late 50ies and early 60ies -- Last edit: 2016-05-28 17:55:43 |
