Yes, the brazilian mix. This one has amber indicator, so 1981 or later. |

Probably spelled Combi for Peru? |
Gomselmash11 ◊ 2011-06-15 05:44 |
Not for VW. Kombi as well. http://www.todoautos.com.pe/f51/vendo-vw-kombi-1982-us-1600-00-a-4489.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIy2OmiKoRo -- Last edit: 2011-06-15 05:45:32 |

And when listing these as Brazilian, T2 should not be included in the code since it is a mix of T1 and T2. |

They have helpfully rewritten the plate on the liftgate, but due to the poor quality I can't be absolutely sure what it says. ![]() RJ-7783, RJ-7788 and RJ-7789 all go nowhere. RI-7783 is a yellow Suzuki, RI-7789 is a silver Nissan Patrol. Seen again at the 16:51 mark here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDkBa1k3-Oc However RI-7788 goes back to a tropical green (Verde tropica = tropengrün?) and white VW, serial no. BH727100 and engine number BZ235965. Waiting for tore-40s analysis... -- Last edit: 2018-02-10 20:28:23 |

BH means Brazilian, indeed, of the 70s. Serial # 727100 since 1957 (No year given, but 1976 or 1977 is plausible) with a 1.6 (BZ, 1585cc) engine. Sold as Clipper, with the T2 front and square taillights. Oh, yes, the amber indicator of 1981. -- Last edit: 2018-02-10 20:36:53 |

So what year does the VIN say? 1981 confirmed? -- Last edit: 2018-02-10 20:40:12 |

Technically, it's not a VIN, but a chassis numbering system used by VW do Brasil Ltda. This is not a system as structured as the system VW in Germany used (not from the start!) or the later world-wide VIN systems are, with local exceptions. But so far it is plausible with 1981 as listed. |
