A late seventies Pontiac Le Mans, I think. |

Looks to be a 1978, 79 or (maybe) 80. <?> Pontiac LeMans coupe - of the A body, the LeMans was the only one with the name on the front of the fender - ahead of the wheel well. The Malibu, Century and Cutlass didn't. Don't think it's a Monte Carlo, Grand Prix, Regal or the Cutlass Supreme - the rear quarter and rear window aren't right - too straight. In the background is one of the early 80s "X-Cars" from GM - the Chevy Citation, Pontiac Phoenix, Buick Skylark and Oldsmobile Omega... |

the Monte Carlo did carry front fender badging scripts for both the 1978 and 1979 model years, and i suspect that may be exactly what this is. i'd be likely to limit the year to 1978 only, as the bright moulding behind the rear quarter window that was added for the 1979 model year appears to be absent here. the missing door with the most significant part of the side sweep throws off the perspective, but you can make out the shine of the leading edge of the rear quarter sweep line... comments..? |

I was looking at the trim at the rocker panel and here is my results: I found double trim style at /vehicle_357237-Chevrolet-Monte-Carlo-1978.html I found a picture brochure from Link to "www.mclellansautomotive.com" But, I could not find the style for the 1979 version except from the Dammann book containing single trim style.
