That wouldn't be a Ford Pinto on the left of the Volvo would it? |

As shown in the picture, for the American market, Volvo had dropped the 24x/26x denomination for the early 80s. Also the Bureau of Automotive Repair have "Volvo DL 1984" in their archives. Thus this should be listed on this site as a "1984 Volvo DL (245)". |

On the Blu Ray, you can clearly read the license plate frame "Santa Monica Kramer Motors Volvo" - Just found this listing on ebay which I thought was pretty cool: Link to "www.ebay.com" |

Marge Thompson's car. Used in one brief scene and very briefly seen earlier from the kitchen door when Nancy leaves for school. |

One very beautiful, solid vehicle. One of the nicest cars ever made. They were absolute tanks which is why you still see them on the road today and usually in fairly good condition. Here's the MotorWeek review of this car for 1985, same model: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0NOcj6pgW4 Looks like these were priced at about $13,000 base price in the mid-80s which is roughly starting at $31,000 today. Equivalent vehicle today would be the V90 which have gone up quite a bit in price over the years. -- Last edit: 2018-08-06 04:36:12 |
