Yup, Vickers Universal Carrier |

It is not a Universal Carrier. It is too large by far and all the Universal Carriers, except the one by Loyd, had rear sprockets. This one is actually a Sexton GPO built by Montreal Locomotive (1943-45) for the British Army. The Sexton was a self propelled 25 pdr. gun, the GPO version had the gun removed and was used as a commanding vehicle. |

Well, they were posting shells, weren't they? Actually it stands for 'Gun Position Officer' or 'Gun Plot Officer'. |
