Quote Zeppos has an amphibious car - an Amphicar - which is used to great effect, taking to the waters of Belgium's network of canals with Senne Rouffaer regularly at the wheel. The car would become an integral part of the public's memory of the series. In effect, it was to Captain Zeppos what the vintage green Bentley was to John Steed - inextricably linked with the character. With its maximum speeds being 7mph on water and 70mph on land, it soon became dubbed the "Model 770". On water, however, it was not as impressive a performer as the publicity claimed. Senne Rouffaer recalled that "The front wheels were used as rudders, but the car was anything but manoeuvrable on water.
