I don't think there is any connection between NZ Stagecoach and any overseas operation. I think it is just one of the Auckland urban bus companies. No idea what the bus chassis but MAN and Mercedes Benz were popular here at that time. Nowadays many of our new buses come from China. |

Stagecoach operated in New Zealand from 2002 to 2005. The 'extras' to 'The Lord of The Rings' on DVD include a short film by Sean Astin in which director Peter Jackson plays the driver of a Stagecoach Wellington MAN |

Fairly obviously Stagecoach existed here before 2002 because the movie here was filmed, probably, in 1998. As far as I know they are still in Auckland. I am at the other end of the country so I can't say I have seen them. |
