Hi guy's, I spoke to Kraig myself, he has the info on all the trucks used in the movie, Kraig told me that all the trucks were the same year so, they were all 1994 Peterbilt 379's, he told me also they were 4 trucks in the movie, he said his truck was the only surviving one & he told me he owns the last truck which would be Truck #4, Kraig said that his truck was used for all of the shots before they smashed the passenger head light on the truck except for driving out of the garage, notice while Junior is driving the truck out of the garage it has lower stacks, he said that was Truck #3, which took the most damage out of all the trucks, Trucks #1 & #2 were Identical and those 2 trucks, were also very damaged, Kraig said that, the reasoning for Truck #4 surviving is that there wasen't that damage to it, although, there was damage to it, it was fixed by Universal Studio's, Kraig said that Truck #3 was brought to a scrapping yard after filming due to so much damage, actually Truck #3 was so much damaged before filming was done that it crapped out during filming and was just useless, notice when Jack hit's Red's pick up into the bushes, listen to the sound of the truck, you can hear it crapping out, that was Truck #3 that was the last scene they ever used it for, I know Truck #2 was used when Red used his truck to hit crew's truck at the end after the FBI gives Crew's back his trucker license, and you can notice the rear axles on the passenger the rims where damaged that was it for Truck #2, Truck #1 was used when Red pushed Crew's Truck into the oversea's storage creates and also when Crew's hits into Red's then it re-appeared one more time to his the car when Red "You wanna Play, Lets Play" and after that, that was the last of Truck #1, Truck #4 is the one in the big main picture, if you look at the passenger head light the headlight isn't smashed they just removed the head light and look at the blinker that's still attached to the headlight as well, Truck #4 was like that, Kraig also that Truck #1 & #2 were brought back and they used the parts off of those 2 trucks to fix Truck #4,Kraig also said the gloves Pat wore in the movie were laying down on the bed in the sleeper, which he also owns today from the movie as well, below is a interview with Patrick Swayze about the movie http://www.accesshollywood.com/patrick-swayze-dies-at-57_article_19658 |

i dont know if any one paid it any attention but the trailer that was used in the movie on this peterbilt is a unique trailer because if u notice it was a container trailer and if you know they dont put lights on any containers the lights are on the trailer that carrys the container but in black dog this container had lights on it top to bottom on the sides all the way across and u cant say it was on the trailer because with the container was on the crane over the water when jack had earl dump out some of the guns you could still see the lights on the side even though they wherent on and in the front of the container you could see the wireing box for all of the lights |

Kraig Cummins has not owned this truck since 2006 when he sold it to Dave in Queensland. The picture posted earlier by GTO 990 with the company name on the door was taken in Queensland where the truck now lives. -- Last edit: 2014-02-12 03:15:14 |

◊ 2016-04-03 03:24 |
All four trucks used for filming were 1994 Peterbilt 379's |
◊ 2016-06-08 16:09 |
I think this truck deserves 5 stars !!! |

Unless it's one of them, I wouldn't say it's actual screen used one just yet, any can take a old beaten up Peterbilt and claim it's one of the screen used Black Dog Trucks, especially if it was a 1994 |
◊ 2017-07-04 13:48 |
Um, What do you think Black Dog Dave stands up for? |
◊ 2017-07-04 13:51 |
If you can verify it, Probably Truck #1, Patrick Swayze, Ended up getting Truck #1 after filming was done |

Seeing eLMeR wants his proof besides picture's of trucks that were supplied that were "supposedly surviving movie trucks" to him and I'm okay with that, With him questioning me do to the other people that have commented on this page, Well, Here's his proof in a link that the truck I posted was the real deal surviving truck from the movie, When Kraig had owned the truck, I had spoke to him, He had a Facebook page for the truck, He had told me there was four different peterbilt's used for the movie as Jack Crews' Peterbilt, All of them were 1994's, With cat engine's, Even though during filming the truck was said to have a 3406B 425HP Cat with a 10 Speed Pro Shift that had a jake brake, That would of probably been the trucks spec's that were for the truck that was used in that scene, The surviving truck was powered by a 3406B 425HP Cat, With a 9 Speed and had a jake brake, DayDay has supplied many picture's of the truck, Blackdogdave, Who is Dave Newton and currently owns the truck commented on this post two posts down after I posted my last thumb nail in this thread, The truck that Truck117 posted, I couldn't tell you if it was a possible second surviving movie truck from Black Dog, Because, At the end of the day, Anyone can still buy a 1994 Peterbilt 379, Paint it black, Put the red R & H trucking signs on the doors and put a gold number 09 on the ends of each sides of the hood and say it's a surviving truck from the movie Black Dog, All in all The Black Peterbilt 379 that Jack Crews (Patrick Swayze) drove in the movie Black Dog is actually still quite a plan looking truck Link to "www.centralwesterndaily.com.au" |

For me, you just often provide unsourced info, when not wrong ones because based on illogical sources, or long and almost unreadable comments with unproved facts that you (weirdly) think will prove that you're right. And I almost forgot to mention "e-mails" that you or friends of yours are supposed to have conveniently exchanged (or conversations, like here, that you supposedly had) with people working on the movies or who bought the trucks later. Just try to be a bit more trustworthy and I'll maybe start to believe what you write? -- Last edit: 2017-08-25 09:42:56 |

I am a business man from Enniscrone, Co. Sligo in the West of Ireland. In 2016 I transported a decommissioned Russian Boeing 767 by sea from Shannon Airport to my hometown of Enniscrone to form the centerpiece of my new venture - Quirky Nights Glamping Village - a 'transportation themed glamping village where guests will be able to stay in various types of transportation vehicles. The move of the Boeing 767 was beamed across TV stations in Ireland, the UK and Europe. Since then I have added an original slam door train (London), an RAF Rescue helicopter, a MASH ambulance, black taxi's, double decker buses and WW2 tanks, all of which will be transformed into accommodation at Quirky Nights Glamping Village. Work has begun and we plan to open for business next year. www.quirkyglamping.ie I recently went to Australia to visit Black Dog. Negotiations are well underway between myself and the owners and I am planning to transport Black Dog to its new home in Enniscrone, Co. Sligo later this year where it will fit in perfectly with my Boeing 767 and the other vehicles. I am planning to document the move of Black Dog from Australia to the West of Ireland. |
