F10? |

It's very difficult to tell whether this is a F10 or a F12 as both shared the same cab. All that is possible to say is that this is a 1977+ Volvo F10/F12. I very much miss one thing with the imcdb and that is that every car/bike/HGV/bus or whatever has to be named in detail which clearly is not possible in some cases. As this is EITHER a F10 or a F12 (no other possibilites) DOES NOT mean this a F10, no more does it mean it's a F12, and no more does it mean it's a Volvo unknown. Why not create a Volvo F10/F12 headline and other headlines where it's impossible to tell the exact model. Like this Volvo 140 series /vehicle.php?id=371825 which is impossible to tell how many doors it has. (142 means two doors, 144 means 4 doors and 145 means 5 doors, estate). And this newly named "F10" /vehicle.php?id=416710 . Edit: F10 means it has a 10 litre straight six, and F12 means 12 litres straight six. Both engines were turbo charged diesel engines of Volvo's own make. -- Last edit: 2011-07-18 21:13:02 |

Volvo F-Series might be the best alternative for now. /vehicle_400740-Volvo-F-Series.html |

I don't want to call this a F-series Volvo as that also include F6, F7 and F16. Clearly the above HGV is neither of these. (Different cabs) -- Last edit: 2011-07-19 09:46:04 |

The F6 and F7 s had lower cabs, this is for sure an F10 or F12 |

Also the F16 did not came out until 1987, and it also spots the new front grille design that the F series got in 1987. Here is an F16 : https://flic.kr/p/6k9T7o |
