With Iranian developed trim/lights, not UK-based. |

Those taillights look a lot like the ones from the Simca 1307/Chrysler Alpine... |

Very true, and Ryton would have been able to supply them from UK after Alpine assembly started 1977 ... |

Aren't they bigger? /vehicle_122555-Simca-1307-C6-1976.html |

Are in bigger trim. Indeed I had the same impression, they reminds those of Simca. It fits to the year of their introduction in Iran - 1981 - in this time Talbot didn't need them anymore and could send some tools to their production to Iran (on the other hand spare parts production had to be continued...). Anyway, as I understood this facelift of Paykan was ordered from Europan Chrylser and done in UK, just before its collapse. Edit: Collapse of Chrysler not UK -- Last edit: 2011-07-23 20:47:17 |

As the 1980s were the Thatcher years, the distinction is trivial. Most of the UK was abandoned in favour of the rich and anything in London and South-east Englandshire. |

As it always looks different from inside, I will not judge her politic, but honestly Mrs. Thatcher's liberal economic policy cult (for some here she is a model) irritates me already since long time. |

The criminal thing about Thatcher was that she did not care what damage she caused to the communities and industries she destroyed in the pursuit of capitalism - they were abandoned. The only thing in her favour is that she did not pretend to be anything else than a bulldozer with a handbag - unlike Blair who never dared admit he was really a slimey Thatcher Mk2 but without the effectiveness or the handbag. |

It shouldn't be forgotten, that you still have one advantage, powered by Iron Maggie: the legendary EU-discount "I want my money back!" is still vaild. |
