US Dodge? - which model? |

Looks like the outside of a US Base, so probably a military model. Notice how the rear wheel well keeps going after the wheel? I think this is a rare six-wheeled model known as a WC-62 There was also a WC-63 6x6 model, but that had a winch on the front, which I cannot see. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_WC_series#WC62 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Dodge_WC-63,_Museum_of_Retro_Cars.jpg |

Seems to be equipped with only four wheels:![]() ... so one of those other WC51-61 in your wiki link, but don't see an exact match. -- Last edit: 2011-07-23 18:44:12 |

...actually the table there has no entry for a T214 "Pick-up (closed cab)" ![]() |

WC51 (w/closed cab added). Appears to have a winch added as evidenced by the front bumper being extended forward but still retaining the Non-winch grille. |

I think this is a WC-51/52 with a modified (shortened) WC-62/63 body on it and of course a closed cab added. The WC-52/53 wheel cutouts were round, the WC-62/63 wheel cutouts were elongated. This truck has evidence of elongated cutouts but with a short body. The tail end past the rear wheels looks longer also, again evidence of a WC-62/63 body. - DodgeMan |
