I think a Cadillac Coupe De Ville of the very late 70's. |

I think it's a Lincoln Continental. Cadillac would be etched on the back of the mirror on a Coupe DeVille. |

No, this is a rare one - a mid-'70s Lincoln Town Coupe: /i018203.jpg |

"Town Coupe" was never a model name, not even in 81. But is certainly a 75-79 Lincoln Continental coupe. -- Last edit: 2011-07-27 05:45:52 |

Hmm, seems to be a good find, since it was in the movie for a split second (waved by the repo guy and gal) and never seen again. Honestly looked like a bad editing mistake. |

Why is the side mirror so far away from the a-pillar? |

I like how the vinyl top also covers the a and b pillars. Did Cadillac do that too? |

'75-76. By 1977, the chrome trim was deleted from the quarter window (cost cutting). -Kurt |

Revision to what I said before: The chrome trim was deleted on the 1977-1979 cars with quarter vinyl only; the full-vinyl cars kept the more ornate trim. That said: A. It cannot be a 1979, for it has black trim on the rearview mirrors; a feature deleted in 1979 (more cost cutting) B. In retrospect, the dashpad appears to be the 1978 revision. In short, a 1978 Lincoln Continental 2-door coupe. -Kurt |
