I think it's a Continental convertible (James Young?) - ex-UK with RHD and UK plate partly visible at rear. If the plate was ABC 123C format - the C is visible - it would be 1965, though less dateable 123 ABC plate format also possible and may be better for single headlights..... |

It would be 123 ABC, I think. S1 was made from 1955-9, the S2 1959-62. |

On front plate is visible B or 8 (but rather B) on left. |

Both front and back plates appear to be partly obscured by a tinted panel of some sort, not a solid plate. If you stare at them long enough it looks as if the UK plate is showing through as 8xx YWC - issued Essex Nov-Dec 63; unfortunately this is just over a year too late for a single-headlight car. Bxx or Bxxx YWC would be impossible for a UK car until 1985. |

1956 Bentley S1 Continental Drop Head Coupé by Park Ward, reg. 100BPC, ch BC3BG, started out life as a fixed head coupé which was later opened up. -- Last edit: 2011-07-25 22:09:31 |

Nice to see this solved. 100 BPC plate issued Surrey, June-August 56. |
