Or 'just' a Viva [HC] with a vinyl roof (and a sunroof!) ? |

Or Firenza? Looks basic model (so not Magnum) but both firenza and Viva names were used on coupe. |

very basic: at the end of 1975 there was for a very short while a Viva E Coupé...! |

Viva E had black window trim so not here. My memory is Vauxhall launched all coupes as Firenza in 1971 then about 75 split the HC range into 2 grades - Viva (continued for low trim) and Magnum (posh trim, bigger engines). Firenza name was dropped at this point with the coupe body being sold as one of the body choices for both Viva or Magnum. Later on the Magnum name was dropped and everything became Viva, but about 1979, so too late for this film. Away from home for next few days so can't check dates and detail precisely, so if anyone else can add/correct this sequence, please do. |

Its looks new and more flasher trim so its not the Viva E (Or is it?)* around 1974-1975 a 2.3 engined model was released see Road Test 12th June 1974 Motor Magazine also a 13 car comparsion with competitive cars see 9th August 1975 Autocar Pages 40B-45 ; and is true a *1300 E for Economy version was released in 1975 and a run out version which may have been fitted with extra options like the sunroof and the vinyl roof to get rid of old stock! |

Have labelled it as 1971 Firenza SL as safest option. Coachline and vinyl roof suggest mid-spec. Magnum had chrome side trim, Viva E black paint instead of chrome. |
