Could be a Fiat indeed, the wheels look a lot like those fitted to Fiat-trucks of the fifties and sixties...

 The truck wheels are looking somehow Italian (the were always different, if you look closer) - but it's very odd, that the signs on the side are obviously West German. :wow: (these Italian truck wheels were never used here, not even had been allowed). The badge looks like from the Deutsche Bundesbahn (railway) and these company-signs with such a diagonal stripe across were used up to the 70ies. It seems, that "Aachen" is to read ("Aken" in Dutch, Aix-la-Chapelle" in French).

This diagonal stripe had also a meaning, I've read it somewhere. IIRC for international traffic.

P.S. If really a Bundesbahn-owned truck, something Italian would be unlikely. Though any Italian trucks were uncommon here back then.

And why not a Unic? are from some Fiat VI-product these rims.
These rim called here "artilleras" or "de artillería".

Really unlikely, as this brand was never common here. AFAIK it was never sold here at all.

@ ingo: Okay.
Jonas_a: with other rims? strange

If I can trust my Wiking model cars I think Büssing did use such wheels on their busses. So, could this be a Büssing truck ??

@Gomsel: your pic shows a Swiss truck. They had different, often Italian-style wheels, too.

The rims are called Trilex and were used alot all over Europe.

I think the suggestion made by Jonas_a is quite convincing, even with those different wheels... (I apologize that I hadn'y checked your link).

Sure about that? They were sold in Holland, though not in large numbers.

Sure, but we didn't have such a protective policy like in Germany, France, Italy or United Kingdom (and we only had Daf and some very small makes...).

True, but I know of German Fiat truckbrochures from the late sixties and early seventies, so maybe Unic or OM were available too.

From Germany or just in German language? What importers are remarked on the back side? So they can be made for Austria or Switzerland, maybe for Luxemburg, too. In these countries many brands of trucks and cars were sold, which never appeared in Germany.
