You are right, I looked at the Collectible Automobile featuring 1970-77 AMC Hornet: Creating a Buzz and indeed they are identical front bumper from 1973 until 1977. |

Well, no. Not all the way to '77. The '76-'77 model added a thin, rubber strip to the corner of the front bumpers, much like the Chrysler New Yorker did for 1977. |
