If I can read this right, this is not any 740 GLT but a 740 GLT 16 Valve which was a rather rare model introduced in 1989. Then a must as most japaneese cars had 4 valves per cylinder and Volvo had also to develop there own version to compete on the market, and indeed gave good marketing points. It was not as reliable as the 2 valve version though and also rather thirsty. 740 GLT (without 16 valve) was just a normal 740 with black strips (instead of chrome ones). |
