Durch Produktionsprobleme des Nachfolgers Astra Cabrio wurde das Kadett Cabrio bis 1993 produziert, während die Produktion der anderen Modelle schon 1991 eingestellt wurde. Kurz vor Produktionsende, gab es vom Kadett Cabrio nur noch Sondermodelle, sie hießen z. B. Edition Sportive, Edition Elegance, Edition Fun oder Bertone Edition.
