maxman ◊ 2012-03-21 22:04	The gun looks too long to be the M3 L/37 75mm. Looks more like a 76, like the M1A1. Other than that, it looks like an M4 model.
Pibwl ◊ 2013-01-10 23:34	It is most probably M4A3 (full width opening, with two hatches on a roof hull plate). I'd say, this is late hull, so the manufacturer would be Fisher (in case this is early hull, it would be Ford, but it's less likely). Some older tanks were retrofitted with longer 76mm guns post-war.

We certainly don't have a neutral or objective press, apart from some of the small selling "intellectual" papers - basically the Guardian and not much else. But the big paradox is that the worst offenders (Sun, Daily Mail etc) are the biggest sellers - we keep buying this crap in our millions. Given what was published during the Brexit campaign on both sides of the argument, I'm not surprised the EU thinks we're a nation of mad nutters.

Well, I guess then, when I was reading their articles I've been very unlucky because I never found this objectiveness. Something I've never found on any other British publication, so perhaps it's just me. Also I guess that newspapers readership is dwindling even more in UK, not a surprise for me to see a newspaper miserably folding, here too they're struggling a lot to survive. Every British daily newspaper provides its own justification for not reading such rags, if you dislike vested interests, stay away from these papers. As a choice forced upon me by the need for information about the situation of the world I am able only to put forward BBC Radio Four, and in particular the Today programme.

During the Brexit-excitements I've read the online-issues of the papers, mentioned there - and it fits. Maybe it's the same situation there, as we know from the German magazines and newspapers: the online-version is always much worse than the prints. Caused by the fact, that the experienced and better educated writers are working for the print-issued and the online-services are cobbled of low-paid youngsters with low general knowledge skills. A typical example is www.spiegel.de The print-issue has -rather had- a good reputation, but the online-issue nearly never can hold pace. Actually there are internal disputes between the well-named paperwriters and the low-paid online-makers. No, I read different medias - but nowhere anything about feministic things. And nearly never RT Deutsch. If there are actual incidents -as three days ago in Berlin-, I recommend BBC, as they still have a high standard, not all German medias can keep pace with. Thanks for the tipp about the Molenbeek-circumstances. I can read Dutch a bit, so it should be possible - otherwise we have in Germany some similar areas with similar problems. You can read also about that topics - but often "tinted" in specific political and ideological colours.

It's almost Christmas and I suggest you to buy a new radio set, because if I can receive Radio 4 in Italy on nighttime (although it's probably more than a year or two that I don't even try anymore, there's almost nothing to listen anymore for me on radio), you should receive it like if you were in London.
