I'm asking myself whether this car should get a 5th star or not... It is so much present throughout the movie and has a very important role... Without being an icon such as Bullitt's Mustang, the Dukes of Hazzard's Charger, or Starsky's Torino... of course. -- Last edit: 2007-09-05 09:30:45 |

Good question... I hesitate too |

Nice images. Thanks for posting! I would like to add though that while not expressed in any dialog. The year of the vehicle in question is 96-97. You can tell that by the steering wheel. Although, The DVD extras do mention that 17 separate cars were used,it is possible some of those were '95s. |

have you noticed this car is missing that black thing on the rear window? |

Movie was shot in digital video so scenes shot at night really put the CV at it's most pretty looking. |

HD pictures: To be honest, I do not like the current main image. Pick one from these. -- Last edit: 2017-12-26 14:34:12 (walter) |

I think that 2nd one would be a right choice, current one is actually more blurred. What do others think? |

tough choice, 1st is a little blurry but we have a good view of the grille.. |

All are [P71]s (I think 1996-1997 models were used, since you see the interior on several occasions) |

At least one was definitely a P71, due to the 140 mph speedometer visible. |

Does anyone have any idea what the exact colors were for Max's cab? All I got out of the behind the scenes stuff was 'lipstick orange' with a '5% blue clear coat' or something along those lines. |

Michael Mann is obsessed with color use in all his work. Possibly spent days trying dozens of different hues |

Always found it peculiar that this model was chosen over the newer (and more common at the time) Crown Victoria. The 1998-2011 models were and still are everywhere. I tell myself this is Pacino's car from Heat just repainted 😂😂 happy watching |
