Ford Pinto or Mercury Bobcat ? |

One of the two. The rear is seen at /vehicle_426869-Rolls-Royce-Corniche-1971.html parked in front of the garage. -- Last edit: 2011-08-30 14:27:48 (tonkatracker) |

It is a Mercury Bobcat by the wheels. |

Ford would never make it that easy. Those wheels were available on the Pinto too: Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com" |

It's got the small rear window in either photo so is either a 2 door or the early 3 door before the bigger window fitted in 72. Bobcat only had the large window when launched in 74. So 1971 Pinto? |

Since it has federal bumpers on both side, so 1974 or later. |

So 1974+ Pinto 2 door (not hatch) and therefore not a Bobcat - "Mercury would not offer the 2-door "sedan" bodystyle on the Bobcat" - http://wikicars.org/en/Mercury_Bobcat . -- Last edit: 2011-09-14 13:38:36 |

Does the taillight looks larger than the 1974-76 model year or not? ![]() /vehicle_320291-Ford-Pinto-Runabout-1974.html /vehicle_113468-Ford-Pinto-1977.html |
