Truly pathetic car. It is NOT an SUV, it's just a 25 with slightly raised suspension and big tacky plastic bumpers (it's pity you can't see much of it in this picture), it is meant to have the look of a 4x4 but has absolutely no offroad capability. Basically an ailing car company took one of its small hatchbacks and dressed it up a little by adding a few bits of plastic to make it look "tough" to try and cash on the SUV craze. Renault did a similar thing with the equally ugly and ridiculous Scenic RX4. I suppose it really reflects how bad SUV madness is when car companies think they can dupe customers by attempting to beef up their family runarounds so people will take for them for another "fashionable" SUV. Only the most clueless buyer would have one of these. The only positive thing that can said about it is that since it isn't a real 4x4, it hardly uses any more petrol than a normal 25. -- Last edit: 2006-12-21 01:57:26 |

It is supposed to look like a 4x4? I thought that these plastic parts were for preventing damage when parking in cities |

In other words this is a car for bad drivers? It's hard to understand what those people at Rover where thinking. |

Maybe, but it was cheap to do. More difficult to understand is that someone in France bought one. July 03 onwards for Streetwise. |
