Pourtout? [img]http://www.my-smileys.de/smileys2/39[1].gif[/img] As a make? I never heard of that! To my knowledge it was the coach-builder Marcel Pourtout who's name, Carrosserie Pourtout, is often used as part of a car name: 1937 Delage D8-120 S Pourtout Aero Coupé: http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/images/large/2420-2.jpg 1938 Peugeot Darl'mat 402 Pourtout Coupé: http://themes.smugmug.com/photos/51216493-L.jpg 1938 Bentley 4 1/4 litre Pourtout Coupé: http://www.clearlight.com/~aei/brawicz/pebble-beach/BentleyPourtout-l.JPG 1939 Talbot-Lago T150 CSS Pourtout Coupé: http://www.classics.com/images/pb00-21.jpg 1946 Delahaye 135MS Pourtout Aerodynamique: http://www.madle.org/delay135msputu467.jpg History: http://www.adattoauto.com/book_excerpts.shtml -- Last edit: 2006-07-26 17:47:53 |

So it was you, Jean-Marc. I was wondering who entered this car. We could add "Pictures for this movie will be provided by: sixcyl". |

http://retractable.free.fr/pics/pe601dl01.jpg This car realised on a Peugeot 601 chassis by Pourtout for the film director Marcel Pagnol. This extraordinary 6 cylinder car has a retractable metal roof designed, like the body by Georges Paulin. The rectractable roof, nowadays very fashion is a 1931 Georges Paulin patent |

Difficult to find rarer car! only one made... for Marcel Pagnol, himself (as Bref already has mentionned). Around 60 years before the contemporary Peugeo 206 CC, 306 CC, Renault Mégane Coupé Cabriolet, Opel Tigra or VW Golf... The bumpers have been modified compared with the first shot of this exceptionnal vehicle,... an UFO in 1935 ! |
