The Land-Rover futuristic taxi is based on the Land-Rover 101 Forward Control. Land Rover Special Vehicles (LRSV) used army surplus 101FC and fitted a new bodywork. http://www.landroverclub.net/Club/HTML/Judge_Dredd.htm |

NEW INFO......only 1 vehicle was made as a "star" vehicle...based on an existing LR chassis the star vehicle had a molded outer body with fully operating hydraulic gull wing doors and flashing lights..the rest of the vehicles had simple one piece fibreglass bodies on the same chassis..without the mentioned operating features.. -- Last edit: 2009-10-22 18:47:36 |

Let me add a small info: Since some part of the movie was shot in Hungary, I saw this on the street one time in real traffic in Budapest. Was very funny. The movie crew for whatever reason needed to take the thing to a LR service which was located near my home. By that time, the only LR service in Budapest. And they didn't use a trailer for that :-) |
