Cleveland built these single cylinder two stroke bikes with shaft drive from about 1916 to 1924. The early ones had round fuel tanks but this one looks to be a later model - possibly 1923 or 1924. I don't think there was a model name because they only built the one type until they switched to bigger four cylinder four strokes in about 1925. -- Last edit: 2011-09-17 07:16:51 |

like nzcarnerd has said back than they had no model name for ref. this ad1923/24 Lightwight A2 Deluxe 225ccm by modern style electrical headlight early ones had brass lamps like cars that period. A had a torpedo style cylindrical fuel tank A2 integral tank ![]() In 1918 it seems they had no specific name ? while today collecters call them Lightwight A and A2 some use the capacity or HP for designation |
