So, DateBase made first Russian registration date as year of manufacture.

It also states it is a factory tuner (SHO then?) and wagon, both of which it clearly isn't.

 1993 might be the year it was imported to Russia. If the plate is original, it is one of the first cars to have this then-new Russian plate.

 That database is crap. You can't totally rely on that, especially in foreign car's cases. They did mistake with models, why wouldn't they made mistakes in year?

 Well, the VIN reveals all. And it all corresponds to a 1991 Taurus GL, does it not?

Besides, these bases are our only clues so we might as well rely on them if the dates seem realistic.
