With these round wheel arches I'd tend to 1955 (at least the shorter Imperials from 1956 had more edgy wheel arches). Anyway, the code would be [C70]. |

This is one of the four Crown Imperial Limousines produced in 1955 by Carrozzeria Boano of Turin .Sidetrim of the standard 1955 and 1956 Crown Imperials was different , with in 1955 an inversed V motive and in 1956 a chromed curve bending upwards behind the rear door.It is an extremely rare car since only 4 were produced , one was owned by Thelma Chrysler Foy , Walter Chrysler's daughter. At least one of the 4 cars is said to be surviving.This car cost an astonishing 16000 $ , more than twice the price of the already expensive standard Crown Imperial limousine.It had a desk , a bar, and electrically operated foot rests and auxiliary seats.The serial code is indeed C-70. |
