First year was 1998 but I guess this is the light facelift from 2001-03 with the clearer indicator lenses but it is not obvious enough to be 100% sure on the year. This wheel design came in at that time too. Wikipedia mentions Thai assembly but I am not sure if that is accurate.

This is not a 1999 Freelander.

Wikipedia mentions Thai assembly but I am not sure if that is accurate.
