From this angle it doesn't look all that much like a 1934 Mercedes Benz G4. Looks more like an SSK if any Mercedes Benz. |

AMC man, just stop posting, this looks nothing like an SSK |

I think this should be made for movie: Link to "www.popularmechanics.com" |

It said on your link that the front was inspired by a Mercedes Benz 540K and the body was inspired by a Mercedes Benz G4 so it can basically be listed as Mercedes Benz G4 (with 540k front clip). |

^ No it can't. We don't list vehicles based on what they are inspired by, the only way this vehicle could be listed, other than Made for Movie, is if we knew what Truck it actually started out as. |

Can we at least list it as Made for movie Mercedes Benz G4 (with 540k front clip) because we already have a category for Made for movie Mercedes Benz. |

That would imply that it is a Mercedes replica made for the movie, I am not sure it is intended to be that. |

Here is a better picture of the car Link to "www.techietoys.eu" here is proof that this car was supposed to be a Mercedes Benz 540K http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5b/Mercedes_Benz_540K_.jpg it also looks similar to a Mercedes Benz 540k from the side Link to "4.bp.blogspot.com" http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/1593/86356206zp8.jpg so anyway it is a Made for movie Mercedes Benz 540K with some of Red Skull's customizations. |

It should stay just the way it is listed (without Mercedes) The car has elements from the 540K, G4, Duesenberg and even the Bentley Blower, so to call it a Mercedes would be incorrect. |

No, that's just proof that it has a similar styling. But it is not the only car looking like that, and it was not especially intended. |

I just thought I'd share this with you guys. It's a "Hydra Schmidt Coupé" :-p http://danielsimon.com/hydra-schmidt-coupe/ |
◊ 2012-03-19 16:15 |
Good, we can give it that name in addition of "Made for Movie" |
◊ 2012-06-17 20:15 |
why is this named as a "COUPE" when its clearly a convertable ? |

Reminds me a little bit of Captain Nemo's motor in 'League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen', except the axles have been switched around... |
