(Main pic is 01:02:06 in 121 min. version)![]() ![]() (01:01:55 → dual rear wheels // 01:02:06 → main pic with larger view: stake truck) • Advance-Design light-duty (31xx) and medium-duty (36xx and 38xx) trucks bumper. • The stake trucks are only 3609 and 3809 models for Advance-Design truck line, and the 3809 is the only one to have dual rear wheels from 1948 onwards (not for the 1947 2nd series MY). • The cab doesn't seem to have early 1949+ fuel filler pipe in the cab corner behind the passenger door handle. This truck is most certainly a 1948 only model. Which means it is a Thriftmaster with 3809 chassis code, as 3x00 model number were only given from late 1949 onwards. ⇒ 1948 Chevrolet Advance-Design Thriftmaster Stake [3809] -- Last edit: 2014-11-27 03:12:19 |

Didn't you say some time ago that there was no difference between 1947 and 1948 models? ![]() |

No difference for almost all models indeed. But according to the (linked) 1947 and 1948 brochures, the 3809 had only single rear wheels until the second MY of Advance-Design trucks line. I plead not guilty on this charge. ![]() (By the way, this truck should have a "Trucks, Simple truck" class, not a "Pickup" one) -- Last edit: 2014-11-28 00:18:49 |

Not a stake, in fact, but a platform, also sold as a factory separate model. Which means a 3808 Chevrolet code. |
