1969 |

That's a 1968...the little circular side-marker lights that that car has were one-year-only, 1968. The 1969 RR would have had rectangular side markers. |

This is actually a satellite. It was for sale on Ebay a few months ago, and the listing stated that the car was a satellite. |

Well, on Ebay the vendor sometimes say that it is the car from a movie just to sell it better |

Well it had all the modifications and damage that the movie one had (roll cage, camera mounts etc. as well as damage to the fenders and other parts) as well as documentation and pictures to prove that it was the car from the movie, so I think we can safely assume that the car on ebay was the car from the movie. -- Last edit: 2007-01-25 04:18:07 |

I have little doubt the car was actually a Satellite. You can get those for pocket change, whereas Roadrunners are a little on the valuable side. Seeing as how this serves more as a stunt car than anything, I don't think the studio would put down the change for a real Road Runner. After all, it's a fact the "GTOs" used in the movie were Tempest and LeMans, not real GTOs. |

I have the Punisher movie Roadrunner that has two seats and was used in both the chase scene and the ending of the movie. They built 5 GTO's and 2 Roadrunners for a big chase scene, but when the state of Florida wanted over 3 million to close the interstate the chase was scrapped. The cars were built with thick steel undercarages so they would be rigid. This car has a huge brake booster, but the problem is if you barely hit the brakes it will throw you through the windshield. Movie cars are put together fast, so they are not perfect. I am working on it now and will probaly show it on cruise nights. I bought it form my brother who has a Starsky and Hutch movie Torino, General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard Movie, 1968 big block hunter green Mustang fastback as the one in Bullitt, 1969 Boss 302 and several other cars. He sold me this one in order to buy another movie car from Movie Mike's. The Roadrunner has bullitt holes from the pyro, event though it was never used in the move. They had to detinate before selling the car. |

I HAVE ONE OF THE PUNISHER MOVIE PLYMOUTH SATELLITES.TRUE THEY ARE NOT ROAD RUNNERS. THIS ONE HAS A SINGLE SEAT AND DROVE BY THE \"HECK\" IN THE BRIDGE AND HIT THE GTO.THE MOVIE WAS FILMED HERE IN TAMPA AREA. I SPEND FEW DAYS TAKING PICTURES OF THE CARS FOR THE MOVIE AT THEIR SHOP. THE CAR INSIDE LOOK MORE LIKE STOCK NASCAR CAR WITH THE ROLL CAGE. AS WELL AS DAMAGE TO THE FENDERS AND OTHER PARTS.THE CAR HAS BULLIT HOLES FROM THE PYRO IN BOTH SIDES.YES THEY BUILD ONLY TWO SATELLITES FOR THE MOVIE. |

Currently for sale at € 49.900,-. "Certain modifications were made to the vehicle. E.g. a reinforced additional frame from the engine compartment to the trunk. Vehicle was restored, but the bullet holes remained and were sealed against corrosion." Not sure if it's the actual car or just a Holey Ghost pretending to be. Either way, certainly not the only car from Florida riddled with holes. On a related note: We were once offered the Cadillac ambulance that was said to have carried James Dean from his fateful crash site - a 1957 Cadillac! Well... let's just say they couldn't prove it. |
