early model Tempo 194 or 85 by the absence of a CHMSL. How cheap of them not to wreck it. -- Last edit: 2011-11-08 16:14:15 |

This car is already 7 or 8 years old where they don't want to wreck this one. I'm sure that the ex-Explorer4x4 would have his day |

This was apparently a very low-budget production. The Dart crash was probably actually stock footage. |

I'm amazed my reputation was strong enough to the point where I haven't been forgotten. I haven't been active in literally years. |

It probably says just as much about us as it does about you |

Or perhaps its just a reminder of how unforgettable, indeed, legendary the Ford Tempo really is... |

According to the director's e-book on shooting the scene, they actually destroyed the Tempo attempting to drive it into the pond, due to insufficient speed...the car hit the pipe ramp, rolled over onto its roof, and didn't go into the water at all. The car was too damaged to reuse, and a replacement Tempo couldn't be found, so for the reshoot, they were forced to the use the first cheap car they could find...a Dart, which looked nothing like the Tempo. |
