Why have you nominated this car as a Bentley, when it appears to have Miss Thornton warming her feet on the radiator filler cap, and what looks like the square Rolls-Royce badge on the back bumper? If this is so the car will be a Silver Cloud. |

Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, NOT Bentley - as said above it has RR radiator and mascot. RR Silver Cloud and Bentley S2 use the same body shell but their radiators are very different -- Last edit: 2011-11-10 16:59:17 |

The Bentley has a more rounded radiator, with a Flying "B" on its filler cap, which is a dummy. The Royce has a sculpture of a Flying Lady, visible in the large picture. On the back bumper the Bentley will have a letter B surrounded by wings, and the Royce will have the R-R badge as shown. The hub cap centres, instruments and pedal rubbers were also appropriately marked. The six-cylinder cars also have the appropriate make shown on their rocker covers, but I cannot comment on the V-8 since my car is a six. The car you refer to above appears to be a Bentley with Rolls-Royce parts, a common trick carried out by the ill-informed amongst us. Link to "www.google.co.uk" -- Last edit: 2011-11-10 17:18:43 |
